Women networking at a Thrive Meetup
Thrive Meetup in Brighton, 2020

Thrive Meetups (in-person)

The Thrive Meetups (in-person) are back!

At November's Thrive Meetup in Brighton, on the morning of Friday, 17 November, you will have the chance to make meaningful connections with other women in business through a series of facilitated exercises which will not only spark insightful conversations, but will also enable you to share your expertise and experience.

What can you expect at this event?

  • During the Thrive Meetup, you will have the chance to talk to other female founders in small groups.
  • You will receive some conversation starter prompts, as well as some visual thinking tools to help you reflect on your business.
  • You will spend most of your time talking to others in small groups, which you will move around during the meetup.
  • You will be able to help yourself to hot drinks, juice and snacks to keep you going throughout the morning.

How will you feel by the end of the Thrive Meetup?

By the end of the meetup, you will feel part of a community - having made some new connections with other women in business. You will also feel energised - having had a chance to reflect on your business challenges and goals.

Who will host the Thrive Meetup?

Clare Griffiths FRSA will host the Thrive Meetup. Clare is an award-winning entrepreneurship educator, innovation adviser and social entrepreneur who has over 20 years of experience offering business support and advice to startups and small businesses from a range of industries in London and the South East.

In 2018, Clare founded Thrive - an impact-led business on a mission to bring together female founders, freelancers and changemakers so that they gain the knowledge, clarity and community they need to thrive in business.

Why women only?

This meetup is open to anyone who identifies as being a woman or a non-binary person.

The Founder of Thrive, Clare Griffiths FRSA, wants to address the gender imbalance in the small business world. In the UK, in 2021, only 21% of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with no employees were led by women (Business Statistics, House of Commons Library 2021).
